As we’re getting closer to Grand Officer Leadership weekend, some simple questions may occur to some. Why focus on Leadership? Why learn more about it? Why become better at it? Some of you might have a clear answer for yourselves. Some won’t.
Often the term “Leadership” brings about the image of the people “at the top,” and therefore maybe it’s just for those people, or those striving for the top. But what about the rest of us? We each have different stations and goals in life. There are plenty of people who are not, and may not ever be “at the top” of what they do, right? Well, that depends on what you mean by “the top.”
The top doesn’t necessarily mean the people at the top of an organization. You’ve heard the term “top performer,” right? Being a top performer is simply about performing well with the job you currently hold. It’s about being the best you can be, no matter your role. That is why we focus on Leadership… so we can each become the best versions of ourselves and no matter what we end up doing in life, we’re doing a great job at it and inspiring others.
Come into Leadership weekend with that thought in mind. Use the time to figure out how you can be the best Grand YOU there is, in Rainbow and every other aspect of your life.
