Getting the Word Out

Many of the Grand Officers have begun their fundraising, service projects, membership drives, Grand Assembly and Camp planning, etc. They have goals to reach and are well on their way. What are your goals? What is the best way to get the word out and achieve them? I have an idea to share:

Your goals are directly connected to who you are. People support the efforts of Rainbow Girls in order to support YOU. You are the face of your own cause. They believe in you and want you to succeed.

Now, what can you do with that information? One thing. Show that face! Show up at other people’s events, or other organization’s events. Be a living reminder of your goals throughout the year. That doesn’t mean you’re constantly asking people for money or to sign up for something. It just means you’re vocal about your activities in the appropriate place (announcing at a meeting) and then you’re around at other events to:

  1. Support other girls in the way you’d like to be supported
  2. Represent your cause in a positive way
  3. Remind people about what you’re trying to achieve

Have you ever heard the saying, “Out of sight, out of mind”? Don’t be out of sight!
