About the Program

The leadership program empowers Nevada Rainbow Girls to be the very best versions of themselves by using their natural talents to accomplish goals and become leaders in whatever aspects of life they choose.

We use different tools and activities in order to accomplish this, but most of all, constructive feedback from each other, and our community.

A few of the learning outcomes for participants:

  • Better communication skills including digital communication, networking, and interviewing
  • Learn to stand out without taking center stage
  • Conflict management
  • Time and task management
  • Finding their own personal image as a leader and effectively communicating that to others

About the Page

This is a place for Nevada Rainbow girls and adults to keep the leadership conversation going in between scheduled in-person meetings… to support each other, share new information, tips and tools, things you can accomplish on your own or with the girls in your assembly, a little inspiration, tidbits to think about, and hopefully even a laugh or two. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to post them in the comments. You’ll see new blog posts on Mondays and Wednesdays and they’ll be shared on the NV Rainbow Girls facebook page as well!

About the Administrator

Christina Williams Schombs is a former Rainbow Girl from Oasis Assembly #19 and Past Grand Worthy Advisor (2000). In 2001 she moved to Los Angeles to finish her education and build a career. She began her career working with adults with developmental disabilities and children with autism, both in school and at home.

Her more recent work was at the University-level, working with students to increase their career-readiness and employability. Part of that programming was to introduce leadership training that would enhance their self-awareness, their ability to work effectively with others, and allow them to ‘hit the ground running’ as leaders in their various fields of choice. She currently lives in Orange County, California and is enjoying a brand new position as stay-at-home mom!  Christina is excited to share all of her leadership training tools with Nevada Rainbow.
